This project - to transcribe and key into computer the returns of the 1851 Census for all the parishes of Dumfriesshire, Kirkcudbrightshire and Wigtownshire - was begun in 1990 and undertaken by the Friends of the Archives of Dumfries and Galloway and other volunteers. 1851 Scotland Census Search (partial).
